In Loving Memory of Gerard Conrad Laforge 90 years Peacefully on Sunday, February 17th, 2019 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice. Beloved husband of 67 years to Fleurette Laforge (née DesRivieres). Loving father of Rick Laforge (Kathryn) and Suzanne Desloges (Dave). Cherished grandfather of Julie Aubé (Rick), Stephanie Chenier (Mitch) and great grandchildren Nina Aubé, Emma Aubé, Sophie Chenier and Jacob Chenier. Dear son of Donat and Merina (née Chaloux) Laforge both predeceased. Dear brother of Art Laforge of London, Ont, Lil Gallant of Arthur, Ont and brother in law of Pauline Laforge of Sudbury, Ont. Predeceased by his brothers Maurice, Norm, Robert and his sister Lucille. Gerard worked as a welder at INCO for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He loved all sports and was an avid and passionate golfer. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 40 years.
In Loving Memory of Susan Mary Turgeon 79 Years Who passed away at Health Sciences North on Thursday, February 21st, 2019. We are saddened by the loss of our beloved mother Susan Turgeon (Barlow) but are thankful for the beautiful memories she has left with us. Cherished mother & mother in law of Douglas, Barb, Dennis and Corry. Predeceased by husband Roger. Adored big sister of Joe and Jane Barlow. Wonderful friend and sister in law of Marie & Don Palanio and Diane & Robert Leveiller. She will be loved and missed by many special friends. Many would recognize Sue’s friendly face from A&J Home Hardware. She was a long-time member of St. Patrick’s Church, a member of the CWL, the ladies auxiliary, the Lockerby Legion, a sister of the Quilting Guild, member of the Horticultural Society and Parkside Senior’s Center. A very special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care and Health Sciences North 4th Floor North Tower for all their care and compassion. Memorial Funeral Mass At St. Patrick’s Church 39 Walford Rd. Sudbury At 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 1st, 2019 Friends may gather at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 564 (Lockerby Legion) after 2:30 for a Reception. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Interment in the McFarlane Lake Cemetery in the Spring. Donations to the Lupus or Parkinson’s Society would be greatly appreciated in her memory. Beloved husband of 65 years to Gene (Desjardins) LeBorgne predeceased 2017. Loving father of Melissa Glover (Mike) of Chelmsford and Denise Turner (Art) Of British Columbia. Cherished grandfather of 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren all of British Columbia. Will be missed by his remaining sister Madeleine Allen (Greg) and predeceased by siblings Germaine Kidd (Peter), Frank and Andre.
